MR11 high power LED (cool)

Using only a fraction of the electricity that a standard halogen lamp would use these LED bulbs are the ultimate energy saving lamp.

These are excellent replacement LED bulbs for some vehicles and caravans, where heat generation, or power usage is critical to a successful lighting solution. These MR11 LED lamps have a slightly domed glass lens cover which helps to give a better spread of light then from most LED bulbs.

LED lamps are also excellent products to use where access for lamp replacement is difficult, as they will last for 50,000 hours in optimal conditions, which might as well be forever. 50,000 hours is the average life of the lamps when they are run under optimal conditions. They can run on an AC or DC power supply, but an AC supply will shorten their life by approximately 50%. Even then, 25,000 hours is a very long time time!

These LEDs deliver a very crisp white light, which is very 'cool'. There is also a warm white version of this product, which might be more more suitable for general lighting.

At 1.5w, these ultra bright LEDs are now a real alternative to MR11 halogen bulbs. Unlike many LED bulbs, these lamps do not provide a very narrow beam of light. Their integral lens provides a standard 38 degree beam angle, just like a regular halogen bulb.
These LED bulbs are roughly equivalent to a 10W halogen bulb.

Because LED lamps draw a tiny amount of power, a regular lighting transformer will usually not be sufficient to run them as most transformers have a minimum power requirement. Using a dedicated driver will also prolong the life of the bulb. See the spares and accessories tab above for a suitable LED driver.
