105w Daylight Bulb (BC)
"Shock and Awe" might well be the best way to describe this range of lamps.
At 105w this is a low energy lamp that produces a lot of light. Think small-sun, amounts of light. OK so maybe that's exaggerating a little, but this lamp is the brightest low energy lamp we have ever seen. It blows everything else out of the water. With the consumption of just over 100 watts of power this lamp produces 6800 lumens, which is roughly the same as a 500w incandescent light.
If you need a lot of light for any reason, this is the lamp for you: Visually impaired people, photography studios, artists, animators - you have to see this to believe it.
The daylight colour temperature of this bulb also helps - photos get perfect colour balance, paintings show their true colours, and it's just easier to see with.
The only downside is the size - at 300mm long and a maximum diameter of 100mm (the glass tube part of the lamp) it's not a small lamp, but more size equals more light.
The plastic base is slightly narrower at 87mm.
Please Note:
These high output Green Lamp bulbs (45w - 105w) can sometimes emit a slight buzzing noise when they are in use.
If you are using them as hi-bay replacement bulbs or will be some distance away from them when they're in use, then you are unlikely to notice anything but these bulbs might not be ideal for use in an otherwise silent room.
The manufacturer have said that the buzzing noise does not in any way effect the lifespan or light output of the bulbs and is normal, but we at My Green Lighting wish to make you aware of the issue before you purchase as we cannot replace any bulbs which exhibit this behaviour.
Daylight bulbs
The colour of the light makes this bulb especially suitable for any area where good light is required, e.g. as bathrooms kitchens or any area where detailed work such as sewing, reading or cooking etc. Colours will appear in their 'true' shades when viewed with this type of light.
Daylight bulbs are also suitable for use in SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) such as light boxes and alarm clocks etc.
The colour of the light is 6400K which is the same colour as sunlight
Daylight Sizes and Wattages

Comparing light bulbs
When you're comparing light bulbs to decide which one to buy, remember that light output is measured in lumens. Some bulbs produce more lumens for the same amount of electricity (measured in watts), which means that not all bulbs of the same wattage are the same brightness.
