1.5w 12v G4 LED Barrel (omni direction)

This is an LED replacement for 10w 12v halogen G4 bulbs.

There are various brands of LED G4 lamp available, this lamp from Kosnic, is the brightest one that we have seen. It also happens to be the cheapest - as LED technology progresses prices are dropping.

This lamp has 9 leds around a 2cm high, 1.3cm diameter barrel. This capsule provides omni-directional light, which is ideal for a G4 fitting in any house or caravan and gives more even distribution of light than from a standard halogen capsule.

The amount of light produced is similar to a 10w halogen capsule, but uses 90% less power. This LED lamp also produces warm white light - the same colour as most halogen lamps. Be aware of other LED lamps that might well produce a much cooler (blue/white) light.

If you are considering replacing your halogen lamps with LED alternatives, you might also need to replace the transformer, as some transformers have a minimum load requirement. We stock LED drivers that can drive up to 10w of LED lamps per driver.
