This version of the L1 spot lamp has a frosted glass cover. As L1 lamp caps are backwards compatible with GU10 lamps, it can be used in most GU10 light fittings, in the same way as many other types low energy lamps.

This is the cool white version of the lamp at 4000K. This is a cooler (less yellow, more white) light that is often uses in offices and other work areas.
