This is a new L1 lamp, with a spiral shape.
It's brighter, than the previous L1 lamps, and has a much shorter warm up time. Rather than starting at about 50% of it's full brightness and 'warming up' over a minute or so, this new lamp starts instantly at near 80% of the full brightness, and reaches 100% in just a few seconds.
The new L1 lamp is a multi purpose, modular lamp. The reflector is removable, so this lamp can also be used in other fittings where you would normally use a candle or GLS lamp. This version is just the spiral part, without the reflector.
It's used instead of candle or micro lamps in some of the range of low energy fittings that we stock. It can also be retro fitted into many GU10 fittings.
To put it simply, this is the brightest, fastest-to-start low energy bulb that we have ever seen.
