L1/GU10 LED 3W Long Lamp

This lamp lasts 20 times longer than a regular lamp and uses 80% less electricity.

The 48 cluster LED's use only 3w of power and have a highly efficient output of 90 lumens per watt making it a suitable replacement for around 50w halogen spot bulbs.

This is the longer version of this lamp, that is suitable for use in the Rio / Alaska downlight units. For regular use there is also a shorter version of this LED unit that is the same size as a regular GU10 spot bulb.

Please note - not suitable for use with dimmer circuits.

Colour variation of LED bulbs manufactured by tp24

tp24 have recently (January 2012) contacted us to explain that the colour temperature of their LED lamps might vary between different batches. This means that some lamps may be a wamer (more yellow) or cooler (more white/blue) white than others, and any replacements whether purchased or provided free of charge under their two year guarantee may vary in colour from any previous bulb.

tp24 told us that: “we as the manufacturer will only replace the lamps due to failure and will not replace lamps due to a variance in the colour the LED lamps are sold at a very competitive price and are suitable for domestic use but due to our manufacturing process we will not guarantee that the exact colour will be replicated in every batch manufactured and supplied and as such we will under no circumstances replace lamps because of a perceived colour variance in the batches. Also please be aware that LED lamps over time will vary in colour as do any lamps.

We do of course make every endeavour to ensure that there is as little variance as possible in all batches manufactured.”

This is one of the best value for money LED spot bulbs that we have seen. It produces a lot of light from it's 48 LEDs, and uses a total of just 3w of power. It's a good comparison to a 50w halogen GU10 lamp, and it's exactly the same size so it's possible to directly replace any existing GU10 spot bulb. A longer version is also available for use in low energy downlights. With a life of 20,000 hours, and a manufacturers guarantee of 2 years this LED lamp is very hard to beat unless you are prepared to spend a lot more cash. Low energy lighting from tp24.
