Light output is equivalent to a 35w halogen lamp. But unlike a halogen lamp it only uses 7w of power, and only generates up to 60 degrees of heat - a halogen lamp can easily reach 200 degrees!
The colour of the light is 2700K, which is a warm white.
This lamp is only 55mm long (including the electrical connectors), which is the the same length as a halogen lamp. This makes the 7w low energy GU10 suitable as a direct replacement.
The glass lens cover is a flat, domed shape and extends a further 3mm from the white outer casing, but this wouldn't normally cause any problem with installing the bulb.
The manufacturer states an average lamp life of 8000 hours.
