Lisbon 6

The Lisbon range of spot lights are dedicated low energy. This means that they will only accept energy saving bulbs. All three fittings in the Lisbon range are IP44 rated, so they are suitable for use in your bathroom (zone 2).

With the Lisbon 6, the flexible joints in the main bar allow you to install the fitting in any number of shapes to suit your room.

Each of the glass shades is supported by three chrome bars that are screwed into the metal body of the lamp holder. The cylindrical glass shades feature a frosted center section with transparent ends.

The spot lights are individually adjustable allowing you to point them wherever you like.

The 11w spot bulbs used in the Lisbon fittings are the equivalent brightness of a 50w standard halogen bulb, but use nearly 80% less electricity.

Low energy

This light fitting uses low energy L1 light bulbs. This makes it a dedicated low energy fitting so it meets the current building regulation limits for low energy lighting.

The CFL bulbs have a life time of upto 8 times more than a standard bulb; as such, they should not require changing for at least 3-5 years with normal use.

What is L1?

L1 is a new type of bulb connector. It is a special type of lamp cap that can only be used with Low Energy bulbs. This means that all L1 light fittings are dedicated low energy fittings. i.e. it is impossible to install a normal high energy incandescent bulb - you can only fit a low energy L1 bulb.

There are various designs and shapes of L1 bulbs, all of which use the latest in technology and provide innovative designs and some of the smallest sizes available today.

The special fitting uses two pins on the bulb and a third, non-metalic pin on the bulb holder. It's this third pin that prevents a non L1 bulb being used. L1 bulb holders are very safe too - because the electrical connections are on the bulb and not in the holder, when the bulb is removed, there are no potentially live connections to touch even for the smallest of fingers.
