The Elan baffled, LED downlight with a black bezel is a fire-rated downlight with separate dimmable LED driver. This downlight does not use standard GU10 lamps, but is a completely integrated LED low energy unit.

The Baffled LED downlight has a unique anti-glare design where the light source is set further back from the bezel, which means that most of the light produced is indirect lighting. The anti-glare Elan still provides a lot of light, but without dazzling. These fittings are perfect for low ceilings, corridors, or other places which require a lot of light and need to avoid any dazzling effect.

Low energy halogen-style lighting
The Elan Baffled LED downlight has COB (chip-on-board) reflector technology and 25 degrees beam angle. This gives a similar lighting effect to a traditional halogen downlights, but with higher light output and much less energy consumption.

Smooth Dimming
Utilising a remote driver gives the Elan improved performance and heat management. As the driver is designed and tested specifically for this LED downlight it enables smooth linear dimming which has been tested with all major dimmers and home automation systems.

Future proof - simply change the look
The interchangeable bezels (aluminium, brass, black, white, chrome and brushed nickel) mean that if you change your mind in the future you can simply update your fitting to match your decor without re-wiring. See the spares and accessories for current options and prices.

Extended guarantee
Elan downlights manufactured by Leyton Lighting have a 3 year manufacturer guarantee that starts from the date of purchase. This can be extended for free, to 5 years for 8w Elans, 7 years for 10w Elans, and 4 years for commercial installations. To qualify for an extended guarantee, you must register your purchase directly with Leyton Lighting and the products must be installed by a qualified electrician and used according to the manufacturers guidelines. In the event of a fault during the standard guarantee period, you should contact the retailer. In the event of a fault during the extended guarantee period you should contact the manufacturer directly to resolve the problem.

• Available in a cool white (4000K) or warm white (3000K) options.
• Driver dimensions: 41mm x 140mm x 25mm.
• IP44 rated - can be installed in bathrooms.
• The LED chip is rated at 8w and this is the wattage marked on the fitting. When planning electrical circuits, 10w should be allowed for each Elan Baffled downlight as this is the maximum power requirement for the LED and driver together.
