10v - 55v LED ribbed candle shape bulb often used in Christmas welcome bridges, Jewish Hanukkah Menorah or German Schwibbogen. Connector is E10 Miniature Screw (MES). Depending on the voltage required in your fitting these lights will use 0.05 - 0.25w and may not be as bright as the incandescent versions at 3w. These LEDs will run on AC power supplies, it may be worth double checking your fitting for compatibility. These long lasting LED lamps are suitable replacements for 12v, 14v, 24v, 34v, 55v E10 (MES) lamps for use in some holiday decorations.
The origin of the welcome light or Christmas bridge isn't actually that well known but it is likely to be a version of the Jewish Menorah from the Hanukkah festival of light in early December, possibly combined with the Schwibbogen candle holder from Saxony.
The lights were traditionally used to welcome workers home in the dark months of winter but can now be found in many window sills and even as a welcoming table decoration for the festive period.
