Replacement bulbs > Daylight bulbs

Daylight lamps, also known as full spectrum or natural light bulbs produce a very bright white light instead of the usual warm yellow light produced by traditional bulbs.

The colour of the light makes this bulb especially suitable for any area where good light is required, e.g. as bathrooms kitchens or any area where detailed work such as sewing, reading or cooking etc. Colours will appear in their 'true' shades when viewed with this type of light.

Daylight bulbs are also suitable for use in SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) such as light boxes and alarm clocks etc.

The colour of the light is 6400K which is the same colour as sunlight.

Often described as a compact fluorescent this bulb is like a fluorescent tube coiled up into a spiral. The new T2 versions are very quick to start up and are very bright for their compact size. The smaller tubes used in the current range of products mean that the smallest lamps are very small indeed. The high powered spiral lamps, are quite large, but will produce a very large amount of light.
