RO80 downlight kit (brass)

This kit is a suitable product to replace old, or damaged downlight units.

As it uses an Ro80 lamp, it will fit existing ceiling holes of 98mm. This is great if you already have downlight units that need replacing.

The supplied 20w energy saving lamp is equivalent to approximately 100w of standard lighting.

If you don't already have large 90 mm holes in your ceiling then we recommend that you consider installing the Rio T2 low energy downlight products instead of this R80 product.

The Rio fittings have many advantages over the R80, including:

• They are fire and acoustic rated fittings
• They use new T2 technology bulbs which means instant startup, and hardly any 'warm up' time.
• They are more efficient (more light for less power)
• They are dedicated low energy (Meets part L of the building regulations)

In terms of light output, the 10w T2 lamp in the Rio fittings produces a similar level of light as the 20w R80 lamp, but with a much smaller more compact light fitting.
