This low voltage under-cabinet downlight stands out for its rare ability to accommodate replaceable lamps. Unlike many integrated LED units that require full replacement when they fail, this fitting uses a G4 capsule, allowing for easy lamp swaps.
It supports up to a 20W halogen capsule, making it compatible with existing halogen transformers. Alternatively, it can be used with LED G4 capsules when paired with suitable LED drivers (available in our Spares & Accessories section). LED G4 capsules are offered in a wide range of colour temperatures and brightness levels to suit different needs.
Designed primarily for installation beneath kitchen cabinets to illuminate work surfaces, this fitting also works well in other applications where subtle, localized lighting is needed. While not bright enough for general room illumination, it’s ideal for accent lighting, background effects, or task lighting in focused areas like kitchen counters.
This fitting requires a suitable halogen transformer or LED driver, depending on the type of G4 capsule you choose to use. If you're switching from halogen to LED, it's essential to ensure that your existing transformer or driver is compatible with LED capsules. Using incompatible equipment may result in lamp damage.
