This GU10 fly lead is a suitable direct replacement for GU10 downlights. It can also be used to convert MR16 low voltage downlights into mains voltage downlights.
Often it is more cost effective to change existing low voltage downlights into GU10, mains powered downlights. We would often recommend this instead of switching your halogen transformers to LED drivers and switching 12v halogen lamps to 12v LED lamps.
Changing to mains powered fittings is usually more cost effective than purchasing all new LED drivers and purchasing LED MR16s, especially if your existing fittings can be converted. There is also much less selection when it comes to low energy, low voltage lamp options. We would always recommend switching to GU10 mains powered lamps if the opportunity is there.
