Halogen spot bulbs produce a bright warm light. They are fully compatible with dimmer switches.
These bulbs are in no way low energy. At 35 watts each they use a lot of power, so you should only really use them if you have to. You should also consider the low energy alternatives - see the related products tab for more options.
This bulb is also the less-common 35mm diameter version - the 'normal' diameter for a GU10 bulb is 50mm.
