The LED Ultraslim strip lights from Leyton Lighting are high output but use little energy. These fittings provide an even light distribution and are designed to illuminate right up to the edge of the fixture. As there is very little non-illuminated area at either end of these fittings, there will not be gaps of light when these fittings are butted together, this provides a completely even light distribution.
Leyton LED fittings are often used under kitchen cabinets to provide a good light on work surfaces. They can also be used to provide discrete lighting in alcoves or other recesses, or over cupboards or pelmets. Different sizes of fitting are available to suit the spaces to be lit.
They can be butted up together, or linked together using link leads to run multiple fittings from one power outlet. The fitting is supplied with an integrated LED module and diffuser, fixing clips, butt join connector, end cap, and 2m female end/bare end mains input cable. Each fitting has it's own built in switch, so they can be individually switched if required. This under cabinet light has an integral LED driver so no external transformer is required.
This LED strip light uses standard Leyton/ELD T5 power connectors, which means that it can be easily linked with older fluorescent T5 strip lights if required. Other Leyton/ELD T5 connectors are also compatible such as re-wireable connectors, corner connectors and link leads.
**Different manufacturers may use different types of power connectors for T5 fittings. Not all connectors are physically compatible with each other. This means that if you purchase T5 fittings from multiple manufacturers, they may not be easily linkable using the supplied link leads. The images above show the plug and socket used in this fitting. The link leads are only physically incompatible, which means that it is possible to make a compatible link lead by using two different connectors from different manufacturers.
