These practical floor lamps require a 1 x 14w max, 230w linear halogen light bulb in the top up lighter which provides light for the room. It also has a flexible spot light which provides a directional light for reading. The reading lamp requires 1 x 33w halogen capsule light bulb. As this floor lamp is dimmable, low energy LED lamps are not recommended with this lamp.
